
The 2017 edition of the Miss Ukraine pageant was held last September 6 at the National Palace of Arts Ukraine in Kiev. The overall winner was 18-year-old Polina Tkach, an aspiring entrepreneur and an International Business student in her country’s National Aviation University. She will now compete in Miss World 2017, to be held in both Singapore and Sanya, China this November.
In the same event, 24-year-old Kseniya Chifa was crowned Miss International Ukraine 2017 and will compete in Miss International 2017 in Tokyo, Japan on November 14. While 23-year-old Diana Minorenko was crowned Miss Earth Ukraine 2017, and will compete in Miss Earth 2017 in Manila on November 4. Iryna Tkachuk finished 1st Runner-Up, while Emilia Shakh was the 2nd Runner-Up.
The proceedings were slightly marred when a member of a radical feminist group stormed topless onstage during the swimsuit round to protest. She was immediately intercepted by security, as contestants carried on with the segment unfazed.
